Andrew
9 years ago, at 3 years old, Andrew had his first equine therapy lesson. He was minimally verbal and struggling in pre-school. I would still wait in the parking lot as he would not make it through the school day. He screamed for almost the first 15 minutes of his lesson. Then when he mounted and the horse started moving, the magic happened!
Shortly after that he began to excel in school, started communicating more verbally, and progressing on anxiety management. He continued to make great strides and progress with animal therapy. Animals have helped him through many difficult times! He still continues therapeutic riding today, attends dolphin therapy, and lives with a menagerie of critters.
